For every fashionista, Paris Fashion Weeks are the most highly anticipated events of the year, followed with near-religious devotion. This year’s PFW SS25 shows were one of the most crowded yet, with attendees claiming it was nearly impossible to find a reservation anywhere in the city—especially at Gigi Paris.
When it comes to RTW shows, everyone turns into a fashion detective, analyzing the latest collections from top brands. Some focus on uncovering the emerging trends, while others are on the lookout for behind-the-scenes drama.
While we were captivated by the stunning new collections from our favorite brands, there were a few key moments from the week that deserve special attention. Let's dive in:
Bella Strikes Back with YSL
Bella Hadid seems to have found her Halloween inspiration this year by channeling Saint Laurent.
Brand’s elegant, and eclectic designs for their Spring/Summer 2025 collections, curated by Anthony Vaccarello have been elevated with Bella Hadid’s in-demand return on the runways, after two years of absence.
Viewers claimed her look was inspired by Saint Laurent’s wardrobe, with restrained details, slicked back hair and thick framed glasses.Overall collection was a representation of sophisticated modernism and an ode to YSL’s history. The oversized pieces mixed with feminine silhouettes and vibrant colors, however, Bella herself was the star of the show.

Willem Dafoe Walks for Miu Miu
Miuccia Prada seems to have taken notice that the "Villains Prada Show" is still a viral sensation—so Miu Miu brought back one of our favorite villains to the runway.
Known for its feminine and coquettish style, Miu Miu delivered a plot twist by closing the show with the surprise appearance of Willem Dafoe, whom we’ve all recently fallen in love with again thanks to the new Beetlejuice movie.
As a longtime face of Prada, Dafoe’s switch to Prada’s mischievous sister brand, Miu Miu, may signal a fresh design direction for their menswear collection. His look was posh, elegant, and modern, hinting at a new chapter for Miu Miu.

Kylie wearing Kylie from Balmain
Kylie Jenner was undeniably the face of Paris Fashion Week, sitting front row at Schiaparelli as usual, walking the runway for Coperni, and making her most unexpected appearance yet—her face featured on Balmain gowns.
For Balmain’s SS25 show, Olivier Rousteing once again infused his collection with extravagant touches, playing with complex structures and portraits, enhanced by embellishments, pearls, and beads.
Though Kylie didn’t walk in the show, her image alone was enough to cause a sensation. The collection showcased several variations of these portraits, but I’m not entirely on board with the choice of Kylie, given the ongoing criticisms surrounding the Jenner-Kardashian influence on beauty standards and their involvement in recent controversies like the Diddy scandal. While I’d have preferred a more inspiring figure, there’s no denying that this look was destined to go viral.

Coperni at Disneyland Paris
Amid the surrounding criticisms, Coperni made a bold statement at Paris Fashion Week by hosting a runway show at Disneyland Paris, fulfilling many childhood dreams. This marked the theme park's first-ever fashion show, an event that certainly stirred up excitement.
With the “Disneyland effect” in play, Coperni aimed to revive Mickey Mouse merchandise—a move that some might find a bit unsettling, especially for those of us still holding onto items that should have remained in the 2010s.
However, with their new Mickey Mouse heels and a vibrant collection for the upcoming season, including maximalist ready-to-wear pieces, Coperni delivered a unique show that also featured Kylie Jenner in yet another viral moment on the runway. As Coperni revisited the aesthetics of the 2010s, they kept their design perspective with asymmetric designs, floral details, and sophisticated interpretations, they infused the event with references to beloved Disney characters.
The majestic castle played a significant role in the show, enhanced by unique color effects that created a captivating fairytale atmosphere.

Vinted T-Shirt Drama: A Coperni Controversy
After Coperni’s show, a bit of drama unfolded. The brand faced accusations of purchasing one of the t-shirts featured on the runway from Vinted, asking for a mere two-euros discount, and making no effort to credit the original creator of the design.
It was a disappointing end to an otherwise fascinating show. Repurposing or re-showcasing vintage pieces can be a great statement, but failing to properly reference the brand or acknowledge the design’s past felt like a missed opportunity.
Runway Highlights: Schiaparelli and Rick Owens
Schiaparelli: Known for its avant-garde style, the brand continued to push boundaries with bold designs, surrealist motifs offering us new structures to expand our sense of style. Daniel Roseberry's collection was a mix of dramatic menswear-inspired pieces and detailed accessories, bringing a luxurious and artistic flair to the runway.

Rick Owens: Our favorite weirdo created an army and curated a performance instead of a runway show. The models were described by him as “white satin army of love”
In the show, where he invited many more people and made it available for the fashion lovers, focused on inclusivity, sustainability and unity.
Show’s most fascinating parts were smokey floors, acrobats, and rose petals spreaded by models of the roof. It was like a magical ritual for the sake of the world and fashion.

Rabanne's 250.000 Euros Handbag
What makes you pay 250.000 euros for a handbag? Crafted in 18-carat gold? The fact that its from Paco Rabanne? In the recent runway show, Rabanne has featured the most expensive bag on their runway, like it’s nothing.
During the show, the renowned French fashion house, established in 1966, honored the legendary style icon and singer Françoise Madeleine Hardy by featuring her iconic 18-karat gold Nano bag in this season’s ready-to-wear collection. The bag, originally crafted in 1969 by Paco Rabanne for Hardy, was a bespoke creation—meticulously constructed over 100 hours in collaboration with Arthus Bertrand. This tribute not only showcased the Maison’s craftsmanship but also celebrated the lasting legacy of Hardy, who passed away this June.

Despite the surrounding drama, the SS25 shows delivered an impressive array of fashion-forward moments, offering us key insights into the upcoming trends. With such a memorable season behind us, we can only eagerly await what’s in store for the next round of fashion events.
