them a contemporary lift.
Q1.
Can you share some insights into your background and journey that led to the
establishment of L'ete Indien The Label? What experiences or influences shaped your path to founding the brand?
I started the brand in 2019 after my first trip to India, my background has always been in art, fashion, and home decor. It came naturally to start this brand, especially after seeing how much creativity India has to offer! I started with petite collections to see how my connection to being a fashion designer would be and I automatically fell in love with the whole process. From the start, I want to focus only on using recycled materials, eco, natural fabrics, and dyes.

Vintage, bohemian Chic... I love to mix retro vintage with traditional Asian vintage style. The clothing designs often in flowing silhouettes, and delicate floral patterns, evoking a sense of femininity and free-spiritedness.

Q3.
Sustainability is a key focus for L'ete Indien The Label. How do you incorporate
sustainable practices in your design and production processes?
We choose each material with the intention and care to produce responsibly made products. When sourcing for our designs, we prioritize natural, recycled, and organic fibers and do not use any fur, leather, or feathers. We design with circularity in mind, choosing mono-materials and materials that can be easily recycled when possible.
We prioritize fair treatment of workers and artisans by making regular visits to our manufacturing partners, ensuring they have social compliance standards, and working with Fairtrade Certified™ factories to ensure workers receive premium payment for their work.
We want to tell the stories of the amazing artisans we have encountered, and their traditional techniques, and to share the history that each craft has to tell. As we work with these artisans to imbue every piece with authenticity and update those traditions for modern life. Believing in preserving age-old crafts while giving them a contemporary lift.
We feel so lucky to have connected with and to work alongside these artisans.
Q4.
What can we expect from Lete Indien The Label in terms of new collections or initiatives in the coming year?
This year we have wanted to focus more on exposing and showing how we work with our
artisans, we want to share the art and the joy of creating clothes that women love and that its also make a difference in the fashion industry. Currently, we are also working on a new collection which should be launched by March.
